In Dead SpaceTM 2, Isaac Clarke, the Systems Engineer from Dead Space, wakes up three years after the horrors of the USG Ishimura. The Ishimura was a Starship of the Planetpatcher class besieged by grotesque reanimations of its dead crew, known as "Necromorphs."

Having unearthed a strange artifact called the Marker, Isaac ends up on the Sprawl, an orbiting space station around Saturn. With no memory of how he got here or the demented visions of his dead girlfriend Nicole, he must survive another nightmarish outbreak of Necromorphs as he strives towards the answer that will end all the chaos.
